Raiders, summer is nearly upon us! It’s almost time for camping, swimming, hiking, and bidding the 2023-24 school year adieu. A plethora of exciting activities, trips, and celebrations lies just around the corner for many students of CVHS. Let’s take a look at what this summer has in store for some of your classmates!
Many students reported that they would be staying close to home to take care of their families, get summer jobs, and spend quality time with friends. One rising junior noted that she is sticking around this summer for cheerleading and sports activities – to those of you in the same boat, we give our thanks for your continued dedication to Crescent Valley! Another rising junior discussed taking day trips to the coast with family and friends, while others mentioned traveling to Idaho and California. One student is flying up to New York for a week to visit family and enjoy the great outdoors while road-tripping, hiking, and camping. Camping has always been a beloved summer activity, especially in the beautiful wilderness that Oregon has to offer: this summer, students are camping at Timothy Lake, Waldo Lake, Beverly Beach State Park, and beyond. Further still, one student is traveling to Germany and France for two whole weeks!
Wherever this summer takes you, we hope that these next few months will be filled with laughter and fun. So get out there! Have a picnic, go to the beach, and take a moment to appreciate your friends, your family, and how far you have come. Let’s make the summer of 2024 our best one yet. So until next year, happy vacation and go Raiders!
