I love the New York Times. The fun games from Wordle to Crossword to their engaging and informative articles. However there is one big problem with this news agency. It costs money. In fact a subscription to NYT times can be pretty expensive with people paying around $1300 a year to access their content. Luckily this money goes toward creating high-quality games and articles. However, most of us aren’t too inclined to spend that much money. If only there was a way to “cheat the system”. Oh wait, there is a way, and it’s simple and legal.
All you need to gain access to NYT is a card. A library card from the Corvallis Public Library. If you don’t have one, just visit the local library and get one for free. But for those in possession of the card, go to cbcpl.net/news. Scroll down and you’ll see a box where you can input your library card number (26928…) to receive free access to the NYT articles and games!
However, this method only allows you access to the NYT for 24 hours at a time. But if you bookmark the redemption page with the access code on your browser, you can access NYT without having to retype the card number.
No longer will you have to deal with that annoying popup that blocks you from accessing the articles and games. NYT should be available to every CV student.
