Imagine one day, you are going about your normal life, school, work, sports, when you get a notification on your phone. You pull it out from your pocket, thinking it’s just a text from a friend, but instead it is an advisory message. It tells you that the world will end at 4:44 pm. What would you do? Would you notify friends? Finally confess to your crush? Text your family? Prepare for what is coming next? The Crescent Valley Drama Club is leading a new play all about this topic called 8 Minutes Left. The play follows residents of Charlesville, New Jersey as they navigate their final moments. From a mother observing her children, wondering what their lives would have become, to a couple who are trying to figure out how to get into their bunker in their backyard, this play has a thoughtful way of finding the intimate humor of humans in crisis, and how they cope with what is coming. Performances of this play are May 2nd, 3rd, 9th, and 10th at 7:00 pm, and Sunday May 4th at 2:30 pm. Come support the CV Drama club and enjoy the production of 8 Minutes Left!
