Hello!

My Name is Iris Miller and I am excited to be this year’s editor for the Crescent Crier. This year is my fourth with the Crier and my third in a leadership role. I first came to the Crier as a timid freshman, looking for a way to practice for the essays and assignments I could never seem to get quite right. Fast forward four years to a writer who isn’t perfect, but can crush those essays and even provide help to underclassmen hoping to develop those skills themselves.  I hope to be able to continue the Crier’s legacy as a paper by and for the CV community in this final year of my time at Crescent Valley and with the Crier.

Outside of the Crier I am very involved in several clubs and ensembles including band, orchestra, line dance club, drama club, and SEA club. I believe that one of the most important parts of high school is staying engaged, and these activities are a huge part of that, and help develop skills I use in my classes and everyday life.

For these four years I have found that the Crescent Crier is my place at CV and I hope that it can become yours too!
